What made you decide to do this course?

"I’ve had a passion for fitness for the last four or five years, I completely changed my lifestyle, I became a CrossFit coach in that time and just decided that this would be a great opportunity to expand my skill set into Personal Training as well."

And how was your experience learning with Fitasylum?

"It's fantastic. It's really flexible. I can learn from home. There's lots of support in terms of online workshops and assessment centers, and I can do the study in my own time."

And what's your next plans? How is this going to help you moving forward?

"So moving forward it will help me with my career in the CrossFit world. But also, I'm looking to establish some coaching to other busy dads who want to improve the lifestyle and get fitter and healthier and feel a lot better."

You've just completed the level three personal training course. How are you feeling?

“Brilliant. Glad I’ve passed.”

How did you find the course?

“It was really interesting, lots of stuff I didn’t know. I learned loads of things. I definitely think the blended course helps, coming in, getting feedback in person. Yeah, it's really good. I really enjoyed it.”

What three key areas have you learned on the course?

"So, how to put a program together and tailor it to somebody, learned the basics of nutrition. You know what we should be eating to fuel our bodies and a lot of anatomy stuff that I didn't know before, like muscle groups. What works what, and what exercises work well, so that's the main three things that I'll take.”

Why did you start the course?

“So, I started lifting weights maybe eighteen months ago, and I really, really enjoyed it. And I've always been quite slim. So, I wanted to, bulk, not bulk up you know, get bigger. Not be as slim. So, I thought, if I can do it then maybe I could help with people other do it as well.”

What have you enjoyed about your course?

“Before I started the course, I was quite passionate about the fitness industry, and I did it to improve my own knowledge as well as that maybe potentially further on I could develop that into something that I could help other people with.”

What are you looking to do after this?

“I think at the moment, just apply it to my own training. And then when I feel confident enough, then I'll apply it to helping people.”

Have you found the course beneficial in terms of linking it back to your own training?

“Yeah, definitely.”

Do you feel like you could take it into a business?

“Yeah, definitely.”

Would you recommend Fitasylum to anyone else?

“I'd definitely recommend Fitasylum Because they're always there to support you. I had Nathan as my tutor and he was brilliant.”

So, Han, you've just passed your level three. How do you feel?

"I'm made up. All the hard work's payed off."

And what have you enjoyed about the course?

"All the knowledge it’s given me in my own training and obviously training other people and becoming a Personal Trainer."

Over the last few months, how do you think you've progressed?

"So much in especially in my own training, I feel like I've learned a lot, which helped me, and coming from not knowing anything and now I’m fully qualified I think I’ve done really well."

Why did you start the course with Fitasylum?

"I know people that's done the course with Fitasylum, and they're all very successful Personal Trainers, and it was one of the best companies to go for, especially with being able to do it online and still doing my own things day to day."

What made you decide to do the course with Fitasylum?

"I wanted a qualification to back my personal knowledge. I also wanted to start my own personal training business and this qualification was best suited to me as I could complete it anywhere and did not need to pay up front.”

What was the thing you enjoyed most about the course?

"Being assigned a personal tutor (Nathan) really helped keep me accountable. Everything was also really accessible all on one device, at any time. There are so many resources available and these really help when looking to start building your business - you get to create your own business plan!"

What are your plans now after completing your course?

"I have began setting up my own business and hope to have my first clients within the next month on introductory rates so that I can gain feedback!"

Would you recommend Fitasylum? And if so, what are the reasons why?

"110%! The workload is manageable around other things! The resources are incredible and the environment, is very friendly and puts you at ease. I recommend trying to go to a practical day if possible, you will learn lots from the experience and get to meet others on the course! The tutors really care about your learning experience and the feedback after each assignment was quick and always helped for my next assignment!"

So how are you finding the course?

“Really well, the course has gone well, you've helped me a lot with things I couldn't do, showed me a lot of new things, So yeah, it's really good.”

Can you just list a couple of things that you've really enjoyed about the course and what you've learned so far?

“Well, I liked for starters being in the gym. The setup is good, the equipment what we’re using is good. I’ve had a lot of help from my tutor when I’ve been stuck and you've always been quick to reply to my emails and stuff like that, so that was really good. Yeah, and just generally nice people. So, it’s been a good course.”

And would you recommend us? And if so, what are the reasons why?

“Yeah, definitely. Especially if you’re a new starter, you’ve not got much info into this side of the industry as such, you got a lot of feedback, a lot of knowledge. And yeah, it’s really good.”

So, what made you decide to do the course with Fitasylum?

"I've been training for about five years now, and I've been competing a lot in that as well and I just enjoy the helping other people side of it. Seeing people progress. That along with working on my own progression, it just sort of made sense to go down the route of personal training."

And on the course so far, what would you say has been the most helpful?

"The most helpful bit for me was probably the tutor calls to be honest. Because it's quite a lot of work because I work full time as well. I train every day as well. So doing the diploma on top of that is a lot, but when you have the tutor calls it sort of puts your mind at ease a little bit that you're on the right track and you’re doing enough, and you've got the right stuff there to help you through this."

Where do you plan to go from here, What's your next step?

"So I’ll get this qualification done and then I want to be an online personal coach. So I’ll start looking into that later on this year and start building a portfolio of clients and hope to take it from there."

So how are you getting on with the course, are you enjoying it?

“Yeah, having a lot of fun so far. Really knowledgeable tutors who are open to teaching people, and friendly and approachable as well.”

And what are you enjoying about the course? How about your learning?

“I think spending time in the gym is always a plus for me. I like the support that I'm getting from the tutors as I'm going along and I'm enjoying the course work itself.”

What type of work are you enjoying learning about some of the subjects?

“I'm enjoying getting a new understanding of things I thought I already knew like energy systems and things like that.”

Would you recommend us, and why?

“Absolutely, I'd recommend this. I'm probably going to be recommending this to people as they go a long and I will because it's accessible to a lot of people. It's affordable and I've had a good time doing it, so why wouldn't I?”
