Starting out as A PT isn’t easy, but it’s worth it
Joanna's journey began when a friend, who had already taken the plunge and completed her Personal Training qualification with Fitasylum, encouraged her to jump in, too. Initially, Joanna felt waves of nerves wash over her—would this path be the right one? The world had shifted online due to COVID-19, and Joanna was apprehensive about tackling technology, especially since she didn’t consider herself particularly tech-savvy.
"Fantastic, 110% support!" Joanna exclaimed. “Jasmine was amazing and was always there throughout the course to help and support me. Whenever I emailed her, she got back to me really quickly. We also did loads of online video calls, which helped with the online learning, as I could ask questions and get immediate answers.”
Though she admitted the course was challenging, Joanna found it rewarding and engaging, saying, “The course isn’t easy, but it’s very interesting and enjoyable, and I really enjoyed the learning. My IT skills even improved, which was a bonus!”
In her own words, Joanna encourages anyone contemplating this exciting career path:
Now, with her newfound skills, Joanna has taken a giant leap and opened her very own PT Studio in Thornton, Lancashire! She offers exciting boot camps, dynamic group sessions, and personalised one-on-one training.
